I'm a 65 year old man looking for the right shampoo. My hair is dry & thinning but not gone yet. Help please.?

Hello Mags !

You need a shampoo that is specifficaly formulated for dry hair. These types of shampoos have a greatter percentage of conditioner compared to detergents. There are so many brands out there you can choose from. Just go to the shampoo section of your local supermarket and look for a product that is specifically formulated for dry hair...that is the key.

If your hair is extremely dry and you are sensitive to most shampoos, you can try Johnson's baby shampoo....I know it seems wierd, but it is very mild and has a clean fresh scent.

Whats the best hair thickening shampoo for a middleaged man who's hair is extremley thinning out and fine?

How effective is hair transplant for male pattern thinning of hair(palm size) over crown for 38 year man?

and where is the best place to do it ?How effective is hair transplant for male pattern thinning of hair(palm size) over crown for 38 year man?
Hair transplant surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Tour2india4health Consultants .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Tour2india4health Consultants is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

What is a good hair cut/style for a man with a big head and thinning hair/receding hairline?

I'm asking you guys because every time my hubby goes to get a haircut they give him a really stupid looking one. It always makes his head look bigger and they'll cut it short but give him this longer fringe in the front, I don't know if they're trying to hide the receding hairline (it's still in the early stages, it's not bad by any means) and to me it just looks plain ridiculous.

So there it is. He has straight, dark hair. Thinner hair, but not too thin. Early stages of receding hairline. LARGE head. He wears a mustache and a goatee/beard thingy. He has a weaker type chin, so the goatee/beard thingy balances out the rest of his face.

I hope I gave a good enough description, if you have questions just ask and I will add details.

Thanks so much! :)What is a good hair cut/style for a man with a big head and thinning hair/receding hairline?
There's a couple of options for this look, since it is actually very popular and adaptable (the goatee-with-thinner-hair- look :). One option (especially if he's got a good-sized crown) would be to try shaving it bald; this can be a very youthful and flattering look on the right man. Another option (and maybe one to try first, since it involves keeping some of the hair), would be to cut it relatively short on the sides, and then leaving just a few millimetres longer on top, then texturizing the hair on top to give more volume and lift. This will flatter the hairline without emphasizing it (think Bruce Willis). The most important thing to remember with thin hair (especially paired with a receding hairline) is that you never want the hair to be too long, or too much at the same length, or else they will tend to clump together and expose more of the scalp, making it look even thinner. When you texturize with layers, it allows movement and gives the illusion of thickness and volume. To style, you will want to use just the very smallest amount of pomade, rubbed into the palms and then just touched onto random places on the hair to allow it to have that sexy, bedhead look.

  • Best shampoo to use for thinning or balding hair as young man?

I am not sure what brings it back- but if you start using Rogain or a generic equivalent now, it will help keep you from losing more.

My boyfriend and his brother both started to lose hair in their early 20's. The one that freaked out and started using Rogain is the one who still has his hair, years later.

Keep in mind that you will need to keep using it, though, and it is not cheap.Best shampoo to use for thinning or balding hair as young man?

Which look is best for a 30yr old man with thinning hair? Close cut , clean shaven, fully grown, or toupe?

I have thin hair on top and somewhat thicker on the sides. I am not really considering the toupe (hair club) or hair plugs route, but feel free to comment on that too. My ex gf preferred it grown to about 2/10';. Thanks!Which look is best for a 30yr old man with thinning hair? Close cut , clean shaven, fully grown, or toupe?
Well, I think the most important thing is of course what makes YOU feel the best about yourself. That said, I totally prefer and appreciate a man who appears clean and smells good, too. Toupe' is a postive NO. I think that close cut is most attractive. I know lots of guys these days are going with the clean shaven look. I don't really have a problem with that, but SO many guys are doing that...I prefer someone who looks like he cares what he looks like, but not obsesses about it. Seems like the clean shaven look is a bit obsessive, or drastic. And not very original.Which look is best for a 30yr old man with thinning hair? Close cut , clean shaven, fully grown, or toupe?
If you shave it clean, chances are its not growing back. I would keep it short.

I was wondering, is it possible for a man with thin, straight and flat hair to make it a little thicker.?

Also, I would like to get it to go ';up and back'; if you now what I mean. I guess the only example I would have offhand would be The Proclaimer's hairstyles. If you know any styling techniques to get it that way, or a really good site which can tell me, let me know.I was wondering, is it possible for a man with thin, straight and flat hair to make it a little thicker.?
blowdry hair while brushing up and use volumizing hairspray for hold.I was wondering, is it possible for a man with thin, straight and flat hair to make it a little thicker.?
Use mousse, not gel. Mousse expands hair and gel flatens it!
